Residents from all over West Tennessee made their way out to the 2015 Millington Veteran’s Day Parade.

For about an hour Navy Road became a paved red carpet for local veterans to receive gratitude from parade-goers. Children like Bartlett’s Olivia Swatsenbarg waved American flags and their hands at the members of the military from all generations.

Olivia was joined by her parents Brian and Courtney. Brian works on the NSA Mid-South Activity Base. Members of the U.S. Navy, Army, Military and more participated in the parade presented by the City of Millington.

Things began with the VFW Post 7175 cruising and greeting the public. And before the parade concluded with the Millington Central High School Band playing “Born in the U.S.A.,” several participants marched on Navy Road toward C Street.

Under sunny skies and warm 50-degree temperatures, the spotlight was given to the American Legion, Boy Scout troops, Millington Elementary, E.A. Harrold Elementary, Patriot Riders, the NSA Mid-South and much more.
