BREAKING NEWS: Severe weather leads to hectic morning commute

Severe weather rolled through the Mid-South this morning leading to tornado watches and warnings.

Damaging wind hit towns like Dyersburg and Covington north of Millington. In Shelby County slick road condition led to a few accidents including this one on Singleton Parkway.

Heading north toward Millington, crews are responding to a flipped SUV off the road. The vehicle landed a few yards off the highway into a field.

Conditions are expected to clear throughout the day.

The tornado warnings for the viewing area have all expired, but showers continue to move through the area. Winds are currently blowing out of the southwest at about 20 mph, gusting up to 36.

Temperatures will continue to drop throughout the day as skies clear.
