Star Staff Reports

Applebee’s, Pokerface Events, and New Stars Wrestling (NSW) Owner Quenton “Pokerface” Williams has announced the date and location of the sophomore NSW event. “I was so pleased with the reception and response of our inaugural event this past spring, our second event will be held at the N-82 (Navy Gym) on Dec. 13, “ Williams said. “ To say that I’m excited to continue to bring professional wrestling to the Millington and Tipton County area would be an understatement. “ Memphis-based Pokerface Events and NSW will present an evening of affordable family entertainment featuring rising, future superstars of professional wrestling from across the Mid-South. Pokerface Events will donate the Mid-South Food Bank $1 for every ticket bought the day of the event. “My company will continue to give back to the community,” Williams said. “With it being the Christmas and holiday season, we want to do our part in helping those that are in need to receive our most important necessity for survival, food. Every dollar that we donate to the Mid-South Food bank can help provide 3 meals for an individual or family.” All tickets to this event are $7. There is free admission for all active and retired military that provide proper ID.

The doors open at 5:45 p.m., and the wrestling starts at 6:30. And special guess Santa Claus will be in attendance for the children and the kids at heart.
