During the 2016-17 school year, Tipton-Rosemark Academy students Mason O’Brien, Lexi Dillard and Gracie Easley gained top chair in the Tennessee All-State Honor Choir Ensemble. Now, they will join the “best of the best” for the National Association for Music Education’s (NAfME) 2017 All-National Honor Ensemble November 26-29, 2017 at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. More than 2,500 music students from across the United States auditioned this year for the 2017 All National Choir and only 281 choir students were selected to showcase their talent during the All-National Ensemble. Eligible students qualified for their state-level honor ensemble program and competed against top students for a spot in this national ensemble. NAfME, among the world’s largest arts education organizations, is the only association that addresses all aspects of music education.  MAfME advocates at the local, state and national levels; provides resources for teachers, parents and administrators, hosts professional development events; and offers a variety of opportunities for students and teachers.  The association orchestrates success for millions of students nationwide and has supported music educators at all teaching levels for more than a century.  With more than 60,000 members, the organization is the national voice of music education in the US.
